UK debut for The Teardrop Caravan on the Adventure Leisure Vehicles stand at the EventCity Caravan & Motorhome Show, Manchester

The new Teardrop Caravan makes its UK debut on the Adventure Leisure Vehicles stand at the EventCity Caravan & Motorhome Show in Manchester from 18 to 21 January, fresh from its launch at the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany last summer.

With a classic, retro-design with a distinctive aluminium roof and tailgate, and choice of six colours for the doors, wheelarches and interior furniture, the Teardrop Caravan is a funky and easy to tow mini-caravan complete with a comfortable double bed and outdoor kitchen.

It can be towed by virtually any car, or would be perfect as extra accommodation for a campervan. It is also one of the most compact and lightest caravans available, weighing only 650kg (MIRO) with a generous payload of 100kg, and only 1.9m tall with a maximum width of only 2m, which makes it a doddle to tow. Its low profile means it creates less wind resistance so you’ll hardly know it’s behind you (but don’t forget it’s there!).

The Teardrop Caravan is made in Germany by Kaiser Fahrzeaugbau using the highest quality materials, and is available exclusively from Adventure Leisure Vehicles, the UK’s specialist retailer of cool camping vehicles, based in Tebay, Cumbria.

Michael Hold, Sales and Marketing Director of Adventure Leisure Vehicles said: “It was love at first sight as soon as we saw the high quality and designer style of the Teardrop Caravan, so we’re delighted to be launching it in the UK.”

“It is perfect for anyone who wants something they can take virtually anywhere to use for any leisure activity, with facilities to cook and somewhere comfortable to sleep. It is the perfect addition to the range of stylish brands of camping vehicles we offer.”

There’s a surprising amount of storage space inside the Teardrop Caravan, with four cupboards made of birch plywood with aluminium sliding doors on the rear wall, a full width shelf across the front wall, two aluminium storage compartments under the sleeping area, plus storage nets and clothes’ hooks.

The kitchen has a stainless steel sink with tap, 12-litre tanks for fresh and waste water, plus two large storage compartments and a drawer for a cool box. Inside, there’s 12V LED lighting, 60Ah leisure battery, two mains sockets, a USB socket and mains hook-up.

The choice of colours for the side doors, wheelarches and cupboard doors are Anthracite Grey, Deep Orange, Flame Red, Sky Blue, green and black.

The Teardrop Caravan is also surprisingly affordable, with prices from £9,990 plus £1,250 for delivery and preparation. Options include a bike carrier, roof-mounted rails for a roof-rack, alloy wheels, gas cooker, electric fan heater and an awning.

After the show in Manchester

The Teardrop Caravan will be available to view in the Adventure Leisure Vehicles’ showroom, just off Junction 38 of the M6. Full details of the Teardrop Caravan are available by calling 01539 624141.
