Toyota Proace Campervan

Like classic campervans, the Proace SE conversion by Wellhouse Leisure has the popular side kitchen layout, pop-up roof (from German manufacturer, SCA) and a rear bench seat that folds to become a comfortable double bed.

The front seats swivel to face the rear to create a lounge area when camping.

The rear seat is also moveable, as it can can slide forward when travelling to provide more loadspace for all your gear, or to bring passengers nearer the front seats, and then slide back to maximise living space while camping.

A fifth seat can be added if extra seating capacity is required. Other options include a side awning with LED lighting (£675), a bed in the elevating roof (£450) and metallic paint (£425).

With an electric hook-up to power any accessories, plus a 100W solar panel and a leisure battery, the Proace can look after you (and all your gadgets) wherever you’re camping.

There’s even a powerful 2.2kw heater, so there’s no excuse not to use it all year round.

The interior is stylish and versatile with modern, white furniture incorporating a large wardrobe and lots of storage space.

This also includes the kitchen with sink, gas hob, both with glass lids, a 25-litre Vitrifrigo compressor fridge and the on-board fresh water tank.

The Proace can be powered on a campsite by its electric hook-up, or can be used independently thanks to its leisure battery, plus a 100W solar panel to top-up its charge.

A 2.0-litre, 120bhp common rail, turbo diesel engine provides plenty of performance.

A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, but there is the option of automatic transmission in conjunction with the higher-powered 180bhp engine for £2,500.

The Wellhouse Toyota Proace SE is also great value for money, with prices from £41,000.
